Nani’s The Paradise has grossed over Rs. 114 crores worldwide in two days. After receiving mixed responses initially, the film has been seeing more positive reactions. Nani acknowledged the same during the Media Mulakat conducted by the movie team.
Firstly, producer Sudhakar Cherukuri thanked audiences for coming to theatres and supporting the film. Director Srikanth Odela thanked every technician and cast member who worked on the film. He specially mentioned Mohan Babu and thanked him for giving him complete freedom. He said that he could not talk about Nani as their relationship goes beyond that of a director and actor, describing them as brothers.
Mohan Babu stated that he was surprised by Srikanth telling him that he had asked Nani about casting him. While he admitted that it hurt his ego, he appreciated Srikanth’s conviction. He praised his clarity, intention to improve the film and focus on delivering his vision. He also appreciated Nani’s dedication and revealed that during one fight scene, despite feeling uncomfortable due to the Jadal wig, Nani did not complain and completed the required takes.
Nani stated that The Paradise had faced challenges from the beginning. He revealed, “We did not face so many problems like we did for this film in my previous ones. We used to sit on sets without moving to go for our caravans so that the mood wouldn’t be disturbed. I saw the cinematographer working day and night and struggling to maintain consistent lighting on sets. We worked hard and made the movie a national talking point, and in that way, we have succeeded.”
Further, Nani acknowledged the mixed reactions and remarked, “Normally, films tend to get positive responses early and then they tend to go mixed. But our film got extreme reactions and positive talk is growing with each show. When I hear the collections from distributors, I am happy to see the response and it feels satisfying.” He asked audiences to watch the movie in theatres and experience the film.
