After a blockbuster September with hits like OG, Little Hearts, and Mirai, Tollywood faced a mixed run in October.
Many films were lined up for release this month, aiming to cash in on the Diwali season. But most of them couldn’t create the buzz that was expected.
Among the releases, Dude, Kantara, and K Ramp managed to draw decent crowds. Kantara stood out as the biggest hit, with the makers announcing a massive ₹700 crore global collection making it 2025’s highest-grossing Indian film.
Dude turned into a surprise success despite average reviews, earning around ₹100 crore. K Ramp received mixed feedback but attracted mass audiences, which helped it stay afloat.
On the other hand, Telusu Kada, Mitra Mandali, Idli Kadai, and Thamma failed to perform and fell flat at the box office.
Overall, October didn’t deliver either in box office numbers or strong content. Expectations were high, but the month ended on a dull note. Now, all eyes are on Mass Jathara and Baahubali Epic, releasing on October 31, to see if they can end the month on a high.
