Cinema has long debated what an empowered woman should look like. In many discussions, traditional attire and conventional roles are often equated with strength and dignity, while glamorous or bold characters are quickly dismissed as being created for the male gaze. Yash’s Toxic appears ready to challenge that outdated way of thinking.
From its first promotional glimpses, the film presents women who are unapologetically stylish, confident, and fearless. But what truly stands out isn’t their appearance. It’s the authority they carry. Every frame suggests that these women belong in the story because of their importance to the narrative, not simply because they are part of the hero’s world.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi, appears to represent different shades of strength.
Produced by KVN Productions, Toxic is slated for release on August 26th.
