The teaser for ‘Toxic’ is out now. It was revealed on the birthday of Yash and has gathered a lot of views on YouTube already. But some have criticised it by saying it looks like a commercial and lacks genuineness.
Filmmaker Nithin Renji Panicker has pointed out what he finds problematic with the teaser. He has said that Geetu Mohandas, the filmmaker behind ‘Toxic’ is known for advocating feminism in films but when it comes to her own film she does exactly the opposite.

Geetu and Nithin’s feud is not something new. When Nithin made his movie ‘Kasaba’ with Mammootty, it was said to be misogynistic by actress Parvathy Thiruvothu and Geetu Mohandas supported it.
In the Toxic teaser, scantily clad women are dancing in a bar where drugs are being consumed heavily. Nithin Renji Panicker thinks it is what true misogyny looks like and proves Geetu’s views as hypocritical.

The director has also said that Geetu has ‘revised the definition of misogyny’ at her convenience.
Toxic might face the same allegations as Animal had faced and this has a chance of doing good promotion for the film as well. But the gap between Geetu Mohandas’ words and work is making people frustrated too.
