Jr NTR faced numerous challenges due to the setbacks of Koratala and Chiranjeevi’s film ‘Acharya,’ as the director grappled with financial troubles, causing delays for NTR to commence the project.
However, since the launch of the film, everything has rapidly gained momentum, with ‘Devara’ generating substantial buzz due to its scale, ambition, and budget.
Devara has secured the best release date for the summer on April 5, 2024. Now, two Tamil films are eyeing an April release, presenting a good opportunity to perform in the Telugu markets.
Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’ and Shankar’s blockbuster sequel ‘Indian 2’ are both aiming for an April release. However, only one Tamil film will hit the screens, even though both films have announced dates to accommodate business in Tamil and Telugu states.
Nevertheless, if either ‘Kanguva’ or ‘Indian 2’ releases a week after ‘Devara,’ it could pose a threat to NTR-Koratala’s film unless they deliver a true blockbuster.
