Akhil Akkineni’s Agent has opened to a poor reception from the critics and common audience alike. The box office prospects are extremely bleak as well. In fact, there have been a whole lot of trolls and mockery of the film since yesterday.
Now, in an unexpected turn of events, Amala Akkineni, the mother of Akhil has come to defend the film. Amala, who doesn’t usually comment about films has now come in support of Agent.
“I understand that trolling comes from a deeper insecurity and need for achievement. I watched Agent yesterday and honestly enjoyed the film. While it has its flaws, if you watch it with an open mind, you will be amazed” Amala wrote on Instagram a short while back.
Amala went on to add that Akhil will come up with something bigger and better next time around with his next project.
Amala isn’t usually the kind of person one would expect to defend a film that is facing a whole lot of trolls on social media. She usually seems dissociated from the film world. But now, she has come to stand up for her son, Akhil. This Instagram post is now going viral and understandably so. This is of course her personal opinion and she’s fully entitled to the same.
