Yet another week at the box office has passed and we have nothing but disasters and washouts at the US box office. Three films Kittu Unnadu Jagratta, Dwaraka and Gunturodu released this week.

None of the films managed to take decent opening, among the three, Kittu Unnadu Jagratta and Dwaraka were okay with the latter having a slight edge. But Gunturodu was a nonstarter, to begin with. It grossed a nothing $ 1700 so far till Friday. Even last week’s Winner too fared poorly.
And that’s not even the worse part, the next two weeks have similarly zero exciting movies for the US audience. Will this be a blessing in disguise for Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu? Usually, Pawan Kalyan movies run well in the US, so why should it be a blessing? One may feel that way, but the reason to say so is Katamarayudu kind of movies are mostly rejected in the US.
This long gap would mean people will be willing to give Katamarayudu a chance irrespective of the kind of film it is. If the film delivers, it could even get huge numbers. This lack of movies would be the undercurrent factor if Katamarayudu manages to achieve big numbers. Let’s see if this turns out to be true or not.
