Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is on a rampage mode at the box office, and it is going to shatter all records for a Hindi film by a huge margin in the coming days.
Such havoc was expected in the North, but its performance in the Telugu states was grossly underestimated, especially by the makers of ‘Ms. Polishetty Mr Polishetty.’
Despite getting favorable reviews from the critics and audience, the film is finding it tough to sail through at the box office due to the Jawan wave.
The collections in AP/TS don’t match the positive talk it generated. If it was released on some other date, it would have done more than twice or even thrice the business it is doing now.
UV Creations, the producers of Naveen Polishetty and Anushka Shetty, didn’t expect Jawan to make such an impact at the box office. SRK’s last film, Pathaan, did well in the Telugu states but not on the level of Jawan.
And maybe that’s why they expected their film to stand against Jawan. Looking at the way Jawan is going now due to a glowing response from the audience, MSMP will face some rough weather in the coming days.
On the contrary, it is doing better at the US box office. Let’s hope MSMP picks up pace, makes up for the lost ground, and ends up as a successful film for all concerned, as the film deserves to do much better.
