Remember the film Bezawada? If you don’t, it’s a film starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead directed by one of the associates of Ram Gopal Varma. It told the tale of age-old revelry in Vijayawada in a contemporary setting.

What has that got to do with Vangaveeti? Well, this is the original period version of the film with some added elements. Also, the film looks better with Ram Gopal Varma himself handling it. The casting, especially that of the lead is impressive and there seem to be some interesting moments. But apart from that, it’s the same old drivel from the maverick filmmaker.
Vangaveeti is still currently in post-production activity and will arrive sometime in December according to the maker.
