“Kumbha in Varanasi is a layered and one of the most complex characters of Rajamouli sir,” he stated. His remark directly links the character to the spiritual city of Varanasi, known for cultural and symbolic significance.

Rajamouli is known for crafting larger than life roles with strong emotional arcs. Calling Kumbha one of his most intricate creations has raised expectations among fans and film circles.

Prithviraj has often portrayed morally nuanced and restrained characters. His association with Kumbha suggests a performance driven by internal conflict rather than conventional heroism.

Rajamouli also revealed that the film includes a 25 minute sequence inspired by episodes from the Ramayana. The sequence reportedly took around 60 days to complete.
