Hadn’t it been for the postponement, this March would have ended with the theatrical arrival of Vijay Devarakonda and Pawan Kalyan.
Incidentally, Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom and Pawan Kalyan’s Harihara Veera Mallu were announced for theatrical released towards the end of March earlier.

However, the makers of both these films announced postponement later, and they have picked individual slots in May now.
But considering the kind of golden opportunity that was created with March end release, it could be argued that Vijay and Kalyan wasted a golden chance.

There was this Ugadi festival period followed by the Ramzan Eid on Monday and the subsequent week had Shri Ram Navami festival. Had there been a proper star film with right content, the box office could’ve absolutely shaken up.
Even if both Vijay and Kalyan had not arrived on this date, but even if one of them arrived, things would’ve been very lucrative for the concerned parties.

Incidentally, other films are not having a go at the box office. Of the films that had actually released last weekend, it is Mad Square that is doing well.
Considering the vacuum that was created and also the holiday weekends that were compiled, it would’ve been absolute carnage if either Vijay or Kalyan arrived with the right content.
In the end, it can be noted that both Kalyan and Vijay are now arriving at the box office in the month of May as they have locked May 9 and 30 release slots respectively.
