The fifth T20I between India and West Indies was washed out due to rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
The series was tied at 2-2 after the final match could not be completed. After rain delayed the start, the match was reduced to nine overs per side.
West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and elected to bowl first. India made a flying start, scoring 118/5 in just 7.4 overs before rain returned and prevented the West Indies from batting.
Despite missing out on a series win, India maintained their unbeaten record in their last 11 decisive T20Is in bilateral series. They have won nine of those matches, while two ended without a result due to rain.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned to India’s T20I playing XI after four years. Shivam Dube was also included as India made two changes for the final match.
The rain meant neither team could claim the series win. India and West Indies finished the five match series level at 2-2.
