Actor Vivek Oberoi who is part of Ramayana has not taken a single penny as remuneration. Instead of taking money Vivek Oberoi requested the makers to use his paycheck for a charitable cause.
Speaking about his decision, Vivek Oberoi said, “I told the producers of Ramayana that I don’t want to take a single penny for this film. I want my remuneration to be donated to cancer patients.”
At a time when big-budget films often make headlines for their massive paychecks Vivek Oberoi’s gesture now highlights how films can also become a platform for meaningful social contribution.
