M9 News Journalist Nishant sat with Hero Kiran Abbavaram ahead of the release of his Dilruba on March 14th.
We asked him if he feels Dilruba is a backlog having accepted it before the success of KA.
“I would have accepted the story even today because it has the potential but I would have given a different treatment. Maybe a 20% change to make it more appealing. The regret is always there if we miss a chance for betterment,” Kiran said.
He agrees the difficulty in making commercial films where we can not deliver the shock value audience are looking for and at the same time, the marketing gets difficult.
The actor seems to be banking heavily on Sam CS’s music and trusts the trailer will turn the tables for the film.
We asked him why he is still living in a Rented House even after doing ten films in the industry.
He also spoke elaborately why doing PR is important for every hero these days.
We asked him if the goodwill he earned on social media during KA is temporary or if it will continue for Dilruba and future movies as well.
“I am always the same. The Social Media took time to understand me. I believe they will continue to encourage me,” Kiran opined.
He did not agree that a hero like him should always try to do different films like KA.
“I have to mix it up. I have to do commercial films too or down the lane, people will not believe if I have to do action sequences,” he said.
He came up with an interesting explanation when we specifically asked why a hero had to hit anyone.
