actor-sushas-flops-hits

Suhas is a small-time actor who earned goodwill through his acting efforts and hard work. However, lately, none of his attempts seem to be working in his favor.

The last good film we can remember is Colour Photo, directed by Sandeep Raj.

Part of the problem could be that Suhas seems to have some old commitments coming out of the blue. For example, Sriranga Neethulu or Gorre Puranam might have been made for OTT or YouTube.

One thing is for sure: the drop in the OTT market has affected him badly. Now all his movies are forced to go to theaters first before getting an OTT release, which is one reason we see him frequently.

Writer Padmabhushan is somewhat the only better film from him in recent times. It doesn’t mean he is not trying; he is.

But his films are either half-baked or of average quality, failing to make the right impact. Movies like Ambajipeta Marriage Band, Prasanna Vadanam, or Janaka Aithe Ganaka all fall into this category.

Also, audiences won’t be eager to see Suhas as a solo lead every few months; he needs to sustain interest through strong character-based roles. Once in a while, a good concept film as a solo lead may not be a problem.

Currently, it is the opposite; he is coming back with back-to-back films that are finding no audience in theaters. By the time they land on OTT, even home viewers are watching better content from other languages in the small-tier actors’ segment, so there is no goodwill there.

It’s time for Suhas to seriously sit down and rethink his career and strategies.
