Come May 9, everybody in Tamil Nadu are expected to be in a state of frenzy as superstar’s Kochadaiiyaan is finally releasing after multiple postponements. With multiplexes are fast filling for the opening weekend, the film is sure to take the box-office by storm. The key to the film’s success is good opening and the initial buzz.
With an investment of INR 125 crore, the film should at least have an opening weekend collection of INR 30-40 crore to even break even, considering the distributors must have bought the film for a whopping price. Releasing approximately in over 4000 screens worldwide, and in at least 500 screens in Tamil Nadu. A lot depends on the fans reaction as well from early morning shows of the film. Few theatres are readying to screen from 4 am and as many as at least 6 shows in a day for the first three days since release. This will give the film the maximum advantage to register a big opening. Let’s also not forget that the film is also being released in Hindi as well as Telugu on the same day.
We” have to find out if Kochadaiiyaan can break all box-office records on opening day. One shouldn’t be surprised if the film breaks box-office records of Bollywood films such as Chennai Express and Krrish 3.
