Pushpa 2 is easily one of the most awaited and anticipated pan-Indian films in the making and it is expected to start on a sensational note on its release date, 15th of August. However, there isn’t as much fear factor surrounding Pushpa 2 as one would expect.
While Pushpa 2 is announced for release on the 15th of this month, other language films are readily locking the same release date.
In Hindi, it is Ajay Devgan’s Singam Again which is a hyped sequel from Rohit Shetty. It could eat into the prospects of Pushpa 2 in the Hindi belt. The film has locked 15 August as the release date.
In Kannada, Shiva Rajkumar’s Bhairathi Ranagal is also newly announced for release on the very same date. The makers announced that the film is set for release on the 15th of August. Being the prequel of blockbuster Mufti and featuring Shiva Rajkumar, this film is a huge deal in Kannada and it will certainly start as the favorite in the Kannada belt.
This way, Pushpa 2 is facing competition from other language biggies, as mentioned above and they could well into the prospects of the Allu Arjun starrer.
In the case of biggies like RRR and Baahubali 2, they had no direct competition in any other languages, this was the kind of domination those films had. But in the case of Pushpa 2, despite a hyped sequel, the film is facing competition from significant other language films, and that too on the very same day.
