The Chennai floods rescue operations are underway. Several people and NGOs are involving to revive the city to normalcy. In this process, some woman volunteers who are befriending in relief works are facing embarrassing situations. They are getting calls and text messages which are not related to their relief work.

Pragya(name changed) posted her number for flood relief coordination activities attracted the pervert attention. Then the said man has been harassing her by asking personal information which led to the lodgement of complaint with police. Later they withdrawn complained after the pervert agreed to apologise her.
Dhivya Balachandar, one of the administrators of the popular Facebook page Tamilnadu Flood – Support, said that people are starting to intimate with girls as brothers, they later call them as friends and at later stage they ask the information which is not at all related to their relief work. Some are approaching the police to take serious actions on them.
