All attention is currently focused on the highly anticipated release of Prabhas’ Adipurush on June 16th. However, there was another significant development yesterday.
According to reports, Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari has locked the star couple, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, for his ambitious project, Ramayana. Additionally, Kannada superstar Yash is believed to be in advanced talks for the villainous character of Raavan.
Yash fans aren’t too happy with this development. In the first place, many aren’t even believing that their star Yash would say yes to a multistarrer after delivering a pan-India blockbuster like KGF. They also don’t want Yash to work in another Ramayan adaptation, and that too, as Raavan. Although Yash has yet to formally sign the contract for the role of Raavan, sources indicate that he has verbally committed himself to the project.
Even we fail to understand why so many Ramayanas are getting made suddenly. The audience would be fed up with watching different versions of the same story again and again.
Yash, who has garnered immense success with the KGF franchise, is currently exploring a range of diverse opportunities in the film industry. He has also signed a movie with director Geetu Mohandas.
