It has been more than four years since the release of the second part of KGF, which is one of the biggest blockbusters of all time in Indian cinema. It is most certainly the biggest blockbuster of Kannada Cinema too.
However, considering the extreme delay in the conceptualisation of the next project, everyone thought the market share of Yash would have been evaporated by now.
But considering the Hindi advance bookings of this Toxic, which happens to be his next film after KGF 2, Yash is on course to throw a big surprise.
The latest box office reports are suggesting that Yash is going to start the box office run in Hindi on a positive note with Toxic.
This film was expected to open in the vicinity of ₹30 crore nett in Hindi on the opening day, but the advance bookings have started pretty impressively, and it is expected to go beyond that now.
According to a reliable portal, that is dedicated for Hindi box office, Toxic is expected to project a pretty big number, which is significantly more than ₹30 crore nett expectation earlier.
If this really is the case, then this is a much bigger number than some of the recent films of NTR, Ram Charan, Prabhas and others. If this is the volume of the opening of the Yash film in Hindi, then he is one of the big stars from South Indian cinema, who can be labelled pan Indian star.
But for now, we don’t quite know if this is just an early push from the producer side, and whether this is just a media campaign. We will get a clear view of the box office projection as the film prepared for release on August 26.
