Toxic Gets A Certificate, But Here’s What Matters Most!

Yash Toxic A certificate

Yash’s Toxic has cleared the censor formalities ahead of its August 26 release, and the latest update has gone largely as expected. The film has received an ‘A’ certificate, something that should not come as a surprise considering the makers had already made it clear that the film was not made for children.

Yash had earlier spoken about the film being aimed at an adult audience, so the certification simply confirms what the team had already communicated. The more interesting part of the CBFC update is that no scenes have been cut from the film.

The board has reportedly asked for only minor modifications, including changes to a couple of words or phrases and corresponding subtitle adjustments. Apart from these changes, the film has been cleared without any major cuts.

That is important for Toxic, especially with the film being presented as a dark and intense action drama. The makers can now take the film to theatres largely in the form they intended.

With the certification done and the release date approaching, another major hurdle has been cleared. The audience now gets to see whether the film can live up to the huge pre-release hype surrounding Yash’s next.

The ‘A’ certificate was expected, but getting through without cuts is the bigger win for Toxic.
