Yash’s influence on Toxic’s script has become a hot topic among film circles after an unverified claim surfaced online. A post shared on a gossip forum has sparked discussions about how the film’s story and casting reportedly evolved. This reportedly comes from an anonymous source allegedly connected to the Kannada film industry.
According to the claim, Geetu Mohandas initially had a very different script for Toxic, and the project was not originally planned with multiple Bollywood actresses. However, after the massive success of Animal, Yash reportedly wanted the film to have a larger pan India appeal and pushed for changes in the storyline and characters.
The post claims that the makers expanded the female characters and approached several actresses for important roles. Names like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Triptii Dimri, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth were mentioned in connection with the film. It further alleges that some casting decisions changed due to availability issues and scheduling conflicts.
The post also claims that Tara Sutaria’s role was initially planned as a cameo, but after Yash watched her early scenes, her character was expanded into a bigger part.
Another major allegation in the post revolves around creative differences. It claims that certain bold and intense sequences were not part of Geetu’s original vision and were added later as Yash wanted the film to have a darker, more aggressive tone inspired by Animal. The post further alleges that the song “Taabaahi” and some explicit scenes were influenced by this approach.
The anonymous source also claimed that Geetu originally wanted Toxic to focus more on Kannada and Malayalam audiences. However, it was Yash who aimed for a global release.
However, these claims remain unverified and have not been confirmed by the film’s team. Toxic was released earlier this week and has been creating a lot of buzz. However, many are giving it negative reviews due to the overuse of gore, violence, and male toxicity. Yash also received a lot of backlash, with many saying that he hasn’t come out of his character as Rocky yet.
In the midst of all this, a claim like this may have a deep impact on how the audiences are accepting Toxic in the coming days.
