Toxic US Advance Shock: Yash’s Pan-India Stardom Exposed?

Yash in Toxic USA advance booking update

Toxic is set to open advance bookings in India on August 21, with the Yash starrer scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on August 26, 2026. However, its current advance sales in the US are raising eyebrows.

The film’s USA premiere bookings stand at around $121,258 from 5,550 tickets sold as of the morning of August 18. The film is reportedly selling only around 10,000 tickets a day at present. That is a slow pace for a high-budget film with supposedly huge hype, especially with just seven days left for the premieres.

The current trend has already triggered another debate around Yash’s so-called pan-India stardom.

Interestingly, this comes just days after Yash’s appearance on Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat triggered a major fan war on social media. During the interview, Yash was asked why stars such as Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu had not achieved the same pan-India stardom that he supposedly enjoys.

Yash gave a diplomatic response, but the question has continued to circulate among fans. Now, Toxic’s US advance sales have added another dimension to the debate.

Tollywood fans argue that these numbers are extremely low for an actor being projected as one of India’s biggest pan-India superstars. They point out that films starring Shah Rukh Khan, Prabhas and Allu Arjun have generated much stronger advance bookings in the US, even when their projects were not carrying the same level of hype.

This has led some social media users to question whether Yash’s pan-India stardom is really as strong as it is made out to be. Some are even dismissing the success of the KGF franchise as a fluke or “lottery,” while claiming that Toxic is now exposing the actual strength of Yash’s market.

However, it is still too early to reach a final conclusion. Toxic has another seven days before its US premieres, and the advance sales could pick up significantly as the release date gets closer.

For now, all eyes are on the pre-sales over the next few days and, more importantly, the response when Toxic opens advance bookings in India on August 21.
