There has been string buzz from past few weeks that young star Ilayathalapathy Vijay would be taking up the coveted Tamil New Year Festival date for his film Theri and it looks almost confirmed now.

Incidentally the same date was earlier locked for Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali. The film right from its start was touted to be the big April 14 release but now sources say it would be postponed for sure. While some say it would be pushed by a month others suggest Kabali might not be arriving in summer at all.
With big disappointments behind them, courtesy their last releases, both the stars are looking at bouncing back big time with their new releases. None want a compromised product to hit screens and taking their own sweet time in completing respective films with perfection.
