This week’s latest release in Telugu, Zombie Reddy is turning out to be another addition to Telugu cinema’s success saga in the comeback post-corona. The variety entertainer has opened to superb numbers for a small scale flick.
The Prasanth Varma directorial is one of its kind of attempt in Telugu cinema. It is a zombie flick, which also has a simultaneous spoof on the faction movie clichés.
The unique entertainer has opened with a gross collection of above 2 Cr on the opening day. It is very good for a movie that isn’t your routine variety. The successful promotion and curiosity generated in the audience have played a critical role here.
But, the first real test for Zombie Reddy is on the second day. The movie has sustained well with full houses in a few areas. It means the initial weekend test is passed, most likely. This alone should ensure a success status. But, if it passes the ‘real’ post-weekend test, one can confidently say the Telugu film industry has another hit to its kitty.
Famous child artist, Teja Sajja turned full-fledged hero with Zombie Reddy. Anandhi plays the female lead. Getup Srinu of Jabardasth fame is getting accolades for his hilarious act. The background score by Mark K Robin too has come under tremendous appreciation.
