After Bengaluru, it is time for the Hyderabad Metro to roll back prices. L&T has announced on its X handle that there will be a 10% discount across all fare zones, across all Metro corridors.
The discounted new fares will be effective from May 24, 2025. It’s been days since the L&T announced price hikes before announcing 10% discount, giving in to public pressure.
They said – we hear you and here’s our way to make your commute more value-driven. L&T had announced a hike of Rs 5 for the minimum fare and Rs 15 for the maximum fare. After the discount, the new rates will Rs 11 for minimum fare and Rs 68 for maximum price.
Though the fare hike was essential for sustainability of Metro mail, the need to reducing the financial burden on commuters was essential, feel L&T chiefs. They say they appreciate the constant support of commuters.
