The stage is being set for the coming Rajya Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh where the polling for three Rajya Sabha seats is to be held soon. With the MLA numbers on their side, YCP should comfortably win the polls.
However, YS Jagan doesn’t appear to be too confident about winning the Rajya Sabha polls. TDP MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao has stated that Jagan is scared that his party might not win all three RS seats despite having 151 MLAs count.
“It appears that Jagan Reddy is scared that 50 of his own party MLAs will vote against his own references for the RS MP seats. If that happens before the assembly elections , then Jagan will be virtually humiliated. That is the reason why he approved my resignation three years after I submitted it to protest against the privatisation of the Vizag steel plant. Despite being the CM, Jagan is shivering even for RS poll” Ganta said.
The date of RS polls is yet to be confirmed but YCP appears to be making correctional decisions already. They are also in the plan of suspending the MLAs who won on YCP ticket but are with other parties now.
