The alliance bigwigs are trying to come up with a perfect strategy to win the no-confidence motion moved against the mayor of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).
To discuss the strategy to be followed in the governing council on April 19, the TDP leaders met under the leadership of TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao, in a hotel on Sunday.

They discussed the strengths of the alliance and YSRCP. Already, both YSRCP and the alliance are holding camps for their repective corporators. On 18th, the alliance corporators will reach Vizag and go to the temporary camp organized for them.
Arrangements are being made for the corporators to reach the GVMC office directly from the camp. The alliance leaders are confident that they have the strength to win the no-confidence motion.

Those present in the meeting on Sunday included MP Sribharath, alliance MLAs Ganta Srinivas, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, Ganababu, Vamsikrishna Srinivas, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, P Vishunukumar Raju, Konatala Ramakrishna, MLC Chiranjeevi Rao, Vizag Lok Sabha constituency TDP leader Gandi Babji, VMRDA chairman MV Pranavagopal, TDP floor leader Peela Srinivasa Rao, Visakhapatnam south TDP in-charge Sitamraju Sudhakar among others.
Vizag being a key municipality, the competition is rife between both parties.
