Over the last couple of weeks, why our Congress leaders have been steadily building the narrative that Amaravati is not a feasible project as it requires ₹2 lakh crore for basic development.
The media narrative was carefully curated by YCP in such a way that Amaravati was projected as a wasteful project and CM Chandrababu is damaging state finances for this sole region.
Chief minister, Chandrababu finally took the occasion to clarify on the narrative that was being built by YSR Congress as he affirmatively instated that whatever is being said about Amaravati is fabricated.
“Amaravati is a self financing land monetisation project. It will generate revenues on its own, right at the fundamental level, including land leveraging. Alas, psychos like Jagan will never understand it as the only thing they know is destruction. Even 1000 psychos like him, can’t stop Amaravati”.
The senior politician then spoke briefly about YCP’s violent politics where they say they’d eliminate NDA ecosystem including Chandrababu once Jagan returns as CM. “Are we looking so light for them to eliminate us. They frequently say they would end me. But that’s not going to happen.”
For Amaravati to be a prospective and eventful capital, Chandrababu needed to denounce the campaign built by YCP and he rightly did so today. Now starts the challenge of safeguarding the capital city further from the problematic political forces which is clearly operating against the region and its people.
