Just when the YSRCP cadre is celebrating the bail granted for Ambati Rambabu in PPP case, the Sattenapalli police have filed another PT warrant on Ambati. The case dates back to 2023 Sankranti celebrations.
The Sattenapalli police received a complaint that Ambati Rambabu was involved in a lucky draw scheme during Sankranti in 2023, through which he is said to have siphoned crores of public money.
It is said he sold lottery tickets in the name of a lucky draw. The Secretariat volunteers sold tickets at the time following orders by ex minister Ambati Rambabu.
In 2023, the Jana Sena leaders tried to file a case against Ambati. As the police did not take the complaint, Jana Sena leader Gade Venkateswar Rao approached the sub court. Based on Court orders, a case was filed on Ambati on January 16, 2023, in the Sattenapalli city police station. The latest PT warrant has been issued in the lucky draw case.
The citizens of Andhra Pradesh are waiting to see how Ambati’s case will develop in the coming days. Already, Ambati is being compared to Posani who was issued PT warrants based on cases filed in various police stations.
