Ambati Rambabu has been provoking the kapu sentiment and spoke of the courage and confidence with which he spent his 18 days in jail. He even went to the extent of saying that he enjoyed his stay in jail and that it was a learning experience. Jagan too called him kapu puli, hyping the jail issue.
But he is not making news this Saturday for his show-off. Ambati Rambabu is in news for a new case that has been filed against him. Ambati was released on bail on February 18 after spending 18 days in jail.
Now, the Rajahmundry Prakash Nagar police have filed a case on Ambati, Jakkampudi Raja and other YSRCP cadre. After being released, Ambati stayed at Jakkampudi’s house overnight and then started to Guntur in a huge rally on February 19.
The police issued orders not to go in a rally in vehicles on the road and rail bridge in Rajahmundry. They issued orders under Section 30. But the YSRCP leaders known for violating orders and doing exactly the opposite. Ambati too reached home in a huge rally.
So The big question in AP political circles is about Ambati going to jail again. Since it was the first time, his daughter’s speeches and YSRCP cadre’s outrage worked among people. But if he is sent to remand once again, the kapu puli might simply have to count bars in jail.
Remember Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Posani Krishna Murali. There was least interest among people as they were in jail under various cases. It is they who pleaded time and again to be released on health reasons.
What will Ambati do, if the latest case leads to custody remains to be seen.
