Tamil Nadu elections are round the corner and the BJP government is trying its best to not just make a mark in Tamil Nadu politics, but to win the Assembly elections ousting DMK from power.
The Tamil Nadu political scene is volatile right now and there is great anticipation about the moves of NDA government. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Tamil media house Dina Thanthi and made some interesting comments.
When asked if Thalapathy Vijay’s TVK would be part of the NDA alliance, Shah said everything will become clear in some time. There is still time for elections.
As Shah did not dismiss TVK’s entry, it has given rise to political buzz in Tamil Nadu. It is known that the BJP has tied up with AIADMK to fight elections in Tamil Nadu so far.
The Home Minister also chose to stay away from commenting on internal fissures in AIADMK. He simply said it was for the party to iron out differences.
Shah also did not project Palaniswami as the CM candidate. He said that a member from AIADMK would become CM.
For now, Shah’s comment about TVK is the talking point in Tamil Nadu politics.
