An old lady Makala Samrajyam (70) from Sainagar of Arthamur, Bantumilli Mandal, Krishna District, was hospitalized after being attacked by a volunteer and his family.
According to the details given by the victim’s family members, the volunteers have congregated people for the Netanna Nestham meeting of CM Jagan held in Pedana on the 25th of this month.
At that time, Samrajyam could not stand the sun and asked for water, Volunteer Prashant did not give it and abused her.
On the same night, Samrajyam stopped Prashanth who was going to Saibaba temple, and questioned him about the meeting, and the quarrel between the two increased.
She asked if there is a rule they should attend Government meetings to receive welfare schemes.
The old lady alleged that the volunteer along with the family members attacked her.
She is currently undergoing treatment at Machilipatnam Government Hospital after she is seriously injured. Bantumilli Police say they have received information from the hospital and will take legal action.
