Chandrababu NaiduThe Andhra Pradesh High Court postponed the hearing of Naidu’s petition seeking to quash the case against him in the state skill development corporation scam. However, the political landscape has witnessed a new development as the YSRCP (YSR Congress Party) attempts to corner Naidu in another case.

This case involves Naidu and 20 other TDP leaders who are facing charges of attempt to murder, rioting, and criminal conspiracy in connection with the violence that erupted in Annamayya district on August 4. This incident occurred during Naidu’s visit to inspect irrigation projects in Anagallu town.

Naidu, in response, accused the state Energy Minister and criticized the police, resulting in a total of 12 FIRs and 87 arrests, with five FIRs directly related to the Annamayya district violence.

TDP’s legal cell applied for anticipatory bail in the AP High Court, and we will know the outcome today.

It is worth noting that Naidu’s party, the TDP, has been gaining ground in Andhra Pradesh, according to political surveys. This has raised concerns among the ruling YSR Congress Party, which seems determined to involve Naidu in yet another case related to clashes in Punganur and Angallu. In response, Naidu has applied for anticipatory bail in this case.
