There is strong political buzz in Andhra Pradesh that a Cabinet expansion or reshuffle could take place soon. The discussion has gained momentum across political and administrative circles.
After the Chandrababu Naidu-led government came to power in 2024, the Cabinet has not been expanded. This has led to growing anticipation among sitting ministers and aspirants for Cabinet berths.
So far, there has been no official confirmation from the government. All developments remain at the level of political speculation.
According to sources, MLC Naga Babu is likely to be inducted into the Cabinet. Prashanti Reddy is also said to be among the probable candidates.
There is reportedly one Cabinet vacancy expected to be filled during this round. Names such as Palla Srinivasa Rao and Vasimsetti Subhash are said to be under review based on feedback.
Kala Venkata Rao’s position is also under discussion. He may either be dropped from the Cabinet or assigned a different portfolio.
Venkataraju and Savitha are also being mentioned as possible inclusions in the reshuffle. Final decisions, however, are yet to be taken.
Sources say Chandrababu is weighing multiple factors before finalising the move. Performance reports of ministers are expected to play a key role in the decision.
Despite the high level of speculation, no official announcement has been made so far. The political circles are now waiting for clarity from the Chief Minister’s office.
