Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu revealed that the state has a debt of Rs. 9,74,556 crores due to the failed governance of YCP in the past. He accused YS Jagan and his leaders of looting public money and pushing the state into debt. He said that the former government committed scams under the name of schemes.
Naidu revealed all calculations of the entire debt in the assembly. He said, “The government debt is Rs. 4,38,728 crores, Public Account Liabilities are Rs. 80,914 crores, Corporation Debt is Rs. 2,48,677 crores, debt in Civil Supplies Corporation is Rs. 36,000 crores, Rs. 34,267 crores in the power sector, Outstanding Dues to Employees are Rs. 21,980 crores, Outstanding Dues to vendors on schemes is Rs. 1,13,244 crores, and Non-Contribution of Sinking Fund is Rs. 1,192 crores. The total debt of the state is Rs. 9,74,556 crores.”

Naidu said that these are the calculated figures and that more debts may be revealed once scams in other sectors are also uncovered. He challenged that if anyone denies these figures, they can come to the assembly, and he will prove them with all calculations.
He accused the former government of hiding these figures and misusing public money. He said that the current government is transparent and thus, all GOs are published online.
