Haiwaan 2.5 Cr Opening: Akshay Kumar Isn’t Embarrassed?

Akshay Kumar Haiwaan box office update

Akshay Kumar’s latest box office failure has given his haters another reason to celebrate, but the actor himself appears to have little time for the noise. While social media is busy declaring his career finished, he is already preparing for his next release. The actor has been shooting multiple films and lining up more projects.

His latest release, Haiwaan, has reportedly opened to a disappointing ₹2.5 crore. This marks one of the weakest openings for a leading Bollywood star in recent years. The film’s poor reception has even prompted some of his own fans to join the trolling. Comparisons are being drawn to the difficult phase that followed films such as Selfiee, Mission Raniganj, Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein.

Akshay did manage a partial recovery with Bhooth Bangla and Welcome to the Jungle, but Haiwaan’s opening has once again raised questions about his ability to deliver consistent box office successes. For an actor who once dominated the industry with a string of hits, the recent fluctuations have been impossible to ignore.

Akshay has another film arriving soon, two or three projects reportedly in production and several more waiting to be announced.

But it seems like he isn’t interested much in knowing why his films have flopped in the past few times. People are even asking why he isn’t ashamed of what has happened.

Even films like Mirzapur, Awarapan 2, and Hanuman Ansh have turned out to be blockbusters and earned in crores despite having no superstar. So, what went wrong with Akshay’s movies?

Many feel that it’s time for him to move out from older franchises belonging to Priyadarshan or Anees Bazmee and try out some other ventures. It is only then that he can go back to winning the hearts of the audiences.

Haiwaan’s business has proved once again that Akshay Kumar needs to change his game, else he will lose the very fans he had for a very long time.
