Former minister Avanthi Srinivas had a bitter experience in Ramavaram, Anantapuram Mandal of Visakhapatnam district.
Avanthi, who went to Ramavaram as part of Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam was surrounded by the villagers. They questioned him on the assurances given in the past.
They asked why the cell tower and infrastructure have not been completed so far. The former minister got impatient with the questioning people and even badmouthed them.
Police guarding the former minister intervened and took the angry people aside.
This is not the first time Avanthi has faced such an issue in the Gadapa Gadapaku program. For that reason itself, Avanthi stopped the Gadapa Gadapaku program two months ago. But then, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy repeatedly rapped Avanthi on the issue. But things did not change.
Avanthi was in TDP previously but shifted to YSR Congress just before the elections and won. He became the minister in the first cabinet reshuffle. But sensing the anti-incumbency on Avanthi, Jagan stripped him of the cabinet berth in the recent cabinet expansion.
