Former Minister Bandaru Satyanarayana once made objectionable remarks about YSR Congress leader RK Roja. Roja filed a defamation case, leading to Bandaru’s arrest. He was later released on bail.
YSR Congress leaders have often been criticised for their abusive behaviour, but this time, it was a TDP leader who crossed the line. In a recent YouTube interview, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy revisited that controversy and revealed how Pawan Kalyan stood by him.
“We met in a hotel after the Roja incident. Pawan Kalyan Garu appreciated me and asked me to stay strong. This happened before everyone Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Palla Srinivasa Rao, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, and others,” Bandaru said.
He added, “He hugged me and appreciated me in front of everyone.”
It’s unfortunate that a senior leader like Bandaru still doesn’t recognise the gravity of his words. Though not a habitual offender, he shows no regret for his behaviour. This remains an incident TDP would rather erase from public memory. Yet, Bandaru continues to wear it like a badge of honour even pulling Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan into the controversy.
