Telugu Desam Party and Janasena party have decided to conduct constituency wise coordination meetings so that cadre and leaders of both sides can work together without any disputes.
But these coordination meetings are turning ugly in some constituencies. We have seen both sides involving in fist fights in constituencies like Pitapuram and Jaggampeta. Not going into things like who is wrong, these issues are completely unwarranted.
Incidentally, these disputes are flaring up in Godavari districts where Janasena is relatively better. That means Janasena leaders are ambitious about the seats they are going to get.
Elections in Andhra Pradesh are around five months away. It is important that Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan address these issues. It is better to announce the seats Janasena will be getting in advance so that both sides will come to terms with the reality.
If the announcement is delayed until the last minute, these issues can potentially damage the alliance and hamper the chances of votes transfer between both the parties.
Meanwhile, Political experts say BJP may take a decision about joining the alliance after Telangana Assembly elections conclude.
