Sharmila, for the first time, has opened up about her party’s merger with Congress. She told the media that the talks have reached the final stages and the announcement will be made very soon.
Sharmila also responded to the allegations of how she could work with a party that included YSR’s name in the FIR.
“YSR fans should excuse Congress party. It is a mistake they committed unknowingly. They respect YSR a lot. I am asking people to excuse the party standing in the shadow of YSR’s statue. It’s been 14 years since my father’s demise. As per the bible, we have already crossed two Kaalalu. The sins should be automatically forgiven,” Sharmila said.
She even went to the extent of saying, “When they realized, we should think if we should not excuse them. We (YSR admirers) should think if we are humans or trees”.
Rumors are strong that Sharmila wants to continue in Telangana politics but the Congress high command wants to send her to Andhra Pradesh to Jagan.
In that case, Congress will look to eat into Jagan’s support base in Christians and Reddys using Sharmila.
If Sharmila is coming to Andhra Pradesh, the Bible has arrived in AP before her. To influence the Christian vote-bank towards Congress in Andhra Pradesh, Sharmila will use the same ‘excuse speech’ that she made today.
