The signals from BJP high command in the last couple of days suggest that the Special Status for Andhra Pradesh is almost impossible. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who is in Anantapur last week did not utter a single word about the Special Status even though every one tried to get the word from him.
BJP Incharge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs, JP Nadda in the Party workers meeting in Vishakapatnam clarified that Central government will give every thing except Special Status to the state. He also clarified that all the benefits of even Special Status will come but not under the name of Special Status.
Considering all these, we can conclude that Special Status is gone case with the truncated state. It may be reminded to our readers that Congress promised 5 years special Status on the floor of Parliament and BJP promised 10 years Special Status before the elections.
