Demonetization seems to have failed its motive of eradicating Black Money. The Cash Crunch existing in the country even after eight months of the exercise. RBI is constantly pumping the New 500 and 2000 Notes into the system but they are barely coming back to the banks.

ATMs are still having those ‘No Cash’ Boards and even banks are imposing unofficial limits on cash withdrawals. 2000 Notes have made hoarding very easy and experts opine black money will very soon reach the Pre-Demonetization levels.
Back then, there are rumors that even the 2000 Notes may be withdrawn by the government. But then, the government repeatedly clarified that there are no such plans which instilled the confidence in the Black Money Hoarders. All those hardships common man felt due to the Demonetization have gone waste now.
