There is no impact of Demonetization whatsoever on the Liquor Sales in both the Telugu States. On December 30th and 31st, 162.51 Crore worth Liquor was sent from the depots to the shops.

On December 30th and 31st, about 162.51 Crore worth Liquor got sold in Andhra Pradesh while on the same days in 2015, 151.4 Crore worth Liquor was sold. So, there is an increase of 11.11 Crore in AP despite the cash crunch. In Telangana, according to an estimate, only on December 31st, 74 Crore worth liquor got sold in the shops.

A similar pattern continued across the country. The only impact of Demonetization on New Year Celebrations is that there is a slight less demand for posh parties in cities. But then there are several reasons for this, experts say.
