The last month, there were feelers that the arrest of Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy is imminent but the case became slow all of sudden. There were speculations that Jagan managed to engineer a compromise with Delhi.
But a crucial development has happened in the case all of sudden. The CBI has arrested Avinash Reddy’s close confidante, Uday Kumar Reddy the other day. His remand report also mentioned the involvement of Avinash Reddy once again.
The report said Uday Kumar Reddy along with the MP, the MP’s father, and Shiva Shankar Reddy tampered with the evidence in this case.
“Uday Kumar Reddy is aware of the murder well in advance. He went to the MP’s house on the day of the murder and they waited there until the news of the murder is out. They reached Viveka’s house in two minutes. Uday did not cooperate with the investigation and there are doubts that he will escape,” the remand report said.

It is evident that the noose is tightening around MP Avinash Reddy in this case. With the arrest of Uday Kumar Reddy, CBI came further close to Avinash Reddy’s arrest. We may see that very soon if there is no political interference.
