AP CM Chandrababu, known for his tech-driven governance, continues to introduce innovative ideas. While interacting with global leaders and tech companies, he ensures that his initiatives also reach ordinary citizens and create an impact on everyday life.
On Monday, Chandrababu announced that live tracking of Stree Shakti buses will begin soon. Similar to private cab services, this step aims to enhance the safety and security of women commuters across Andhra Pradesh.
The CM held a review meeting with APSRTC officials to discuss the initiative. He said that the free bus service was a success due to the active participation of women. He instructed officials to place clear display boards on both sides on buses for easy identification.
Chandrababu, who envisions women’s economic progress through Stree Shakti, said that women of Andhra Pradesh are forward-looking and will make the best use of the opportunities given to them. He stressed that empowering women is vital for inclusive growth.
The free bus service for women in Andhra Pradesh began on August 15, 2025. It is among the six major guarantees promised by Chandrababu before the 2024 elections and continues to benefit lakhs of women every day.
