Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently visited the TDP Headquarters in Mangalagiri to discuss filling the remaining nominated posts. After the meeting, he shared a photo posing beside an old Ambassador car, which quickly went viral and sparked wide discussion.
He remembered his earlier days, when he travelled across the state in the Ambassador vehicle series numbered 393 during his term as Chief Minister of the United state three decades ago. Though he now uses modern security vehicles, this car was brought from Hyderabad to the TDP office in Mangalagiri recently.
When he saw the car during his visit on Friday, Naidu paused and reflected on his past journey and political memories. However, social media soon took the photo in an unexpected direction, with some users pushing political theories.
A few people started claiming that Naidu was indirectly hinting support for the BRS in the Jubilee Hills By-elections, since the BRS Electoral Symbol is also an Ambassador Car. They even suggested a link to Late Maganti Gopinath, a Kamma and former TDP leader, saying Naidu might be backing his widow.
But these interpretations appear more like political imagination than reality. Naidu has clear priorities and has stayed away from Telangana Politics for some time. He is not even focusing on the Telugu Desam Party in Telangana, so supporting BRS or Congress seems unlikely.
Moreover, BJP is TDP‘s ally in Andhra Pradesh, and any such move would naturally cause issues. It looks like Naidu simply shared a nostalgic moment, but the timing of the picture triggered unnecessary speculations online.
