AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s security entourage will have new additions starting with his Vizag trip. The changes have been made due to threat perception from Maoists.
His security will now include a counter action team. Along with local NSG guards, a counter action team comprising six commandos will provide security cover to the CM.

The commandos will get trained under special protection Group (SPG). The latest decision has been taken by Special Security Group that monitors Babu’s security protocol.
Babu will now have four layers of security comprising NSG (National Security Guard), SSG (Special Security Group), special counter team commandos and local army.

Chandrababu Naidu is a high profile politician in the country and is closely guarded at all times. It might be recalled that he survived a bid on his life at Alipiri near Tirupathi by naxals in 2003.
Babu is one of the leaders who is guarded by NSG black cat commandos in the country. The new security detail is a measure to protect Babu at all times as the movement of naxals has increased in the state.

The threat to Babu’s life has escalated pushing forth the need to upgrade his security detail.
