Andhra Pradesh CM is slowly and steadily implementing all his poll promises. One of his election promises was to provide free bus services to women.
Though it took a year for the government to implement the promise, the Super Six scheme is finally going to start on August 15, 2025.
Meanwhile, CM Chandrababu has given clarity regarding the scheme. He made it clear that the free bus service will be applicable within the district.
In all 26 districts, women can move about free within their district. In the past YSRCP had questioned in legislative council if the free bus service was applicable to the entire state. Minister of Tribal Welfare said that they were trying to implement it within districts.
CM Chandrababu gave clarity on the same on Tuesday at Srisailam.
The Telangana Congress has implemented free bus service to women and this put pressure on the AP government to implement the scheme as early as possible. However, though late, the government has shown its commitment to women.
The AP government is also procuring new buses before it kickstarts the scheme.
