Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu had begun exercise for the 2019 elections, two years in advance. Naidu is recently meeting all the MLAs and MPs of the party district wise and is handing them over their three years Progress Report.

To those who are not performing, he has handed them over a ‘To-Do List’ for the next one year. They were also told that if they do not improve their image in the next one year, they will have to make way for new candidates in the next elections.
The exercise of the candidates will begin immediately after Mahanadu next year so that they will have ample time to reach out to the people. The issue of alliances will also be finalized by then. Naidu has this habit of sitting on the candidate’s list until the last minute before the nominations but he is keen on changing that now.
There are instances in the last elections where few seats were lost just because the candidates do not have enough time for the electioneering. If Pawan Kalyan enters the fray for 2019, every seat will be crucial in the three-sided competition. So, this advanced preparation will help.
